What exactly is numerology?
Whether you are spiritual, superstitious, or just enjoy learning about all the ways in which you could interpret your life, you may know about numerology. However, it may not make a lot of sense until you can be totally clear on how it works.
Numerology is the idea that you can understand multiple aspects of life and the universe through numbers. This is a concept derived from Pythagoras that everything in the universe can be broken down into numbers.
We are always seeking out messages and hints in our lives as to what makes sense, and the universe is consistently sending us these, however, we may not always understand it in the numbers that we see. Understanding that the universe can send us these signs in the form of numbers is exactly what numerology is.
Of course, numerology also has close ties to mysticism, paranormal/ supernatural, astrology, and divination, including things such as tarot and runes.
The internet offers us the opportunity to use ready-made numerology tools to understand these signs, numbers, without having to understand how it all works ourselves. That being said, it can be better to understand how this works, yet it is no easy feat, and you may find yourself a bit confused before you start to understand the workings of numbers in your universe.
How does numerology work?
Understanding how this works is not easy either. If you were to ask a numerologist to explain how it works, it would be like asking a neurologist to explain the brain to you in one sentence. It’s very difficult and can’t really be put into simple terms. However, it is also hard to explain as there are many types of numerology, much like there are many areas within physics or chemistry, there are varying types of numerology within the generalized topic.
Much like you do not need an ornate understanding of how an engine works to drive a car, you can work numerology without having a vast amount of knowledge in it. Much like driving a car, you just need a basic understanding of how you can operate it, and the simplest understanding of its functions, and mechanics, and then you can use it.
You don’t need a full understanding of how your computer works, your phone, or any other electrical or mechanical equipment that you can think of. All you need is the knowledge on how you can use it.
What is best about the internet and the modern era is that instead of needing to learn the ins and outs of numerology religiously, you can just use online tools in a matter of mere seconds. Saving you from some potential brain-numbing math.
Numerology is just a series of calculations. Different numbers and combinations of numbers will have their own particular meanings, and these calculations can get rather in-depth, however, this only requires simple addition and subtraction. Using an online calculator is simply the best way to find out your life, soul, urge, etc. numbers without spending ages staring at a piece of paper covered in numbers feeling like you are back in high school.
That being said, the sheer layers of numbers, and the complex meanings that they come with, do require the help of a proper numerologist. It is always best to seek out a reading from someone who has studied numerology charts and understands its inner workings better. This way you know that the information you get from the reading is accurate.
Understanding your life path number.
One of the most sought-after numbers that people want to know from a numerology reading is the life path number.
In this, the numbers 1 through 9 are the building blocks, with master numbers 11, 22, and 33, which have higher vibrations/ energetic frequencies.
This means that your life number can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 22, 33. In order to calculate your life path number, you must use your date of birth, with your full birthday, month and year included.
If your birthday was 3rd June 1992, then you add 6 and 3 for 9. Then add 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 for 21. Then add 2 + 1 for 3. Now you must add 9 and 3 which will create 12. And you must then separate 12 into 1 and 2 and add them together to get a grand total of 3. 3 would then be your life path number. Add up individual digits of double-digit numbers until they become single-digit numbers.
